The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates was established on 20 April 2017, under the auspices of H.E. Khalifa Yousif Alzaabi as the Ambassador designate of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Ghana.
The establishment of the Embassy in Accra is to culminate and continue to good relations between the two countries. It is worth noting that within the last four (4) years since the opening of a UAE Diplomatic Mission in the Republic of Ghana, progress in relations has been very swift and remarkable with numerous achievements, culminating in the first state visit of the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and several high-level visits by officials of the two nations.
The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Ghana maintain good relations dating back way before the establishment of diplomatic missions in each other’s country. The two nations can look back on a long-standing exchange, which has been fruitful for both countries with the focal points of these relations being the flourishing trade, economic and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.
